Circuit Court Clerk Barbara Matthews was born, raised and has lived her entire life in Overton County. She is the daughter of the late Lee and Mae Hensley. She is married to Jerry Matthews, and they have one daughter, Lee Ann.
Barbara graduated from Livingston Academy High School, attended Tennessee Tech and Vocational Technical School. She has worked in accounting all her career. She served as deputy clerk at the Overton County Circuit Court Clerk for 14½ years. In August, 2010, she was elected Overton County Circuit Court Clerk.
Barbara and her employees are committed to providing the highest level of service to anyone doing business with this office — attorneys, judges, law enforcement officers and citizens of Overton County.
